Filipino Values Month themed: "Pamilyang Pilipino Patatagin: Susi sa paghubog ng Kabataag Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa.
The Department of Education (DepEd) urges all schools, both public and private to hold activities in accordance to the Filipino Values Month (FVM) this November.
DepEd, through Memorandum No. 166 series of 2018 issued by Undersecretary Atty. Nepomuceno Malaluan, said the observation of the FVM is celebration is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 479, s. 1994. With theme, "Pamilyang Pilipino Patatagin: Susi sa paghubog ng Kabataag Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa". This year's theme says to step-up close family ties to form individuals who are pro-God, pro-people, pro-country, and pro-nature.
Schools, both public and private – in coordination with stakeholders – are ordered to plan and conduct activities, related to the theme and in accordance with DepEd Order No. s. of 2015 or instituting measures to increase engage time-on task in teaching.
The Values Department are to host contests or competitions, exhibits of talents and innovations on creative arts, symposia or seminars, film showing or stage play on current issues related to the theme, but also to incorporate values in lessons in all learning areas as we aspire to develop, manifest and advocate core Filipino values.
Members of the teaching staff and students are assured to join in the fun to further steel-up priced Filipini values and instill them to achieve national progress.
